    Brass ONION Lanterns Lamps
    Very rare pair of 2 TUNG WOO Brass ONION Lanterns Lamps.  Onion Lanterns were designed as a light to burn whale oil, and were used by nautical shipping companies and railroads. When made of brass they resist the harsh coastal New England weather. The shape of the glass globe and surrounding cage make the lantern very sturdy.
    TUNG WOO is clearly marked on the "control knob"
    Lanterns measure 12” tall and 14” with handle. Base is 4” across. Excellent antique condition.
